We wanted to start a blog where we can share some ideas and thoughts about teaching math. We know everyone has very busy schedules, but if you could peek in here once a week or so to post some of your ideas, I know we could all benefit from everyone else's wisdom. We have discussed so many times the benefits of collaborating across the grade levels, so anything would would like to share would be appreciated.
We know that everyone is really busy with establishing routines and expectations, but we would love some to hear about how you started off your math workshop. What activities did you do? How did you establish workshop expectations? How do you think it went? Are you with the same students as last year or is this a new group of students for you? Did you use any great math read alouds?
